Was the child born here? Then yes they should be given citizenship...however, that shouldn't give the parent immunity from the law. They want to stay here with the child, they have to go through the motions to gain their legal status. If they don't, then the child can come back to the US on their own when they are of age and take advantage of their birth country. I think it's totally shady that so many preggers from other countries hold it in until their big toe is on US soil and then they say "haha baby's born here, can't get rid of me!" That's complete crap.

This is a difficult question. I am partial when it comes to kids, and always fell they should get the best. But at what cost to the children who are born here in the US from legal parents. I think not enough is done of our own population and we should consider that before we grant citizenship to others. We should be taking care of our own children who need our support. If we were in any other county illegally would our child who is born there be granted automatic citizenship? i don't believe so.

Politicians don't care what we think. They are going to allow millions of illegals to stay here and that proves my point. And, no, children should not automatically be granted citizenship. They should be citizens of the country their parents are citizens of.

The kid should be a citizen (I'm not too hot on messing with the Constitution), but the parents should be deported immediately and permanently. Either they take the kid with them or put the kid up for adoption in the US. No "anchor baby" BS.

If the kid was born here, then it is a citizen. However, the parents are still illegal
