Calvin Johnson on offense. He will have the oppertunity to catch lots of balls in Mike Martz's pass happy system.
Defense, its a toss up between Lawrence Timmons and LaRon Landry, Timmons is a little undersized but he has excellent instincts for a linebacker and loves to hit. He will do well on Pittsburgh's D. LaRon Landry is a nasty safety, Sean Taylor and him will love playing together and will have recievers scared to come across the middle. He has all the tools: Speed, Strength, instincts, tackling, and loves to hit. Another rookie who will florish in the NFL as well.

I think the offensive rookie of the year will be JaMarcus Russell. He's a Daunte Culpepper clone and Culpepper had one of his 2 great seasons during his first year as a starter. However, I think Brady Quinn is the much better player longterm. Big-armed QBs similar to Russell (Culpepper, Leftwich etc.) tend to burn out early, as do running QBs (Cunningham, McNabb, Culpepper etc.).
The Defensive Rookie of the Year will probably be Paul Posluszney of Buffalo. He was one of the elite LBs in college football for his last 2 seasons and he's one of the most NFL-ready players in the draft. I would be surprised if he doesn't end up as a star LB (he can play either inside or outside). I think LaRon Landry could also end up as the Defensive Rookie of the Year, but Dawan Landry had a great season last year and wasn't considered for the award, so I don't think a safety could win that award.

Calvin Johnson is the hottest prospect for a while. He will be good. He's got size, speed, and hands. Another player that I think will be a stud at some point is Joe Staley. He was a steal in the late 1st round and he will be excellent. Anthony Gonzalez was an excellent choice even though the Colts should've went to defense, he provides the role Brandon Stokley missed last season because of injury and now they can have Harrison, Wayne, Gonzalez, Clark, and Addai all on the field at the same time which gives them even more fire power. The best defensive pick in my opinion was the Skins picking LaRon Landry. Last year, they allowed some many deep passes, I think Warren Sapp could've burned their secondary. As long as Taylor stays out of off field trouble, the Skins won't be allowing as many deep throws. Jon Beason was a great pick. He improved his draft status and plays excellent football.

Calvin Johnson is easily the best on offense. And he is actually in a great situation in Detroit to put up stats. Consider this, Detroit's number 2 reciever last year (Mike Furrey) had 98 receptions for 1000+ yards. The year before, Mike Furrey didn't even play WR, he was a safety on the Rams. Mike Martz loves to pass so recievers will flourish in Detroit. They also have no defense so have to throw every play to try and play catch up. With Roy Williams commanding double teams, Johnson will see a lot of single coverage and I don't know who can cover this guy one on one.
On defense I think it will be Anthony Spencer now of the Dallas Cowboys. He is not the best player on defenese but playing OLB in the 3-4 scheme is one of the easiest positions to put up a ton of stats at. He was rated as the second best pure pass rusher in the draft by many experts and playing under Wade Philips (see what Philips did for Shawn Merriman and Shaun Philips) he should be pretty good. I think he could easily record upwards of 12 sacks, 85 tackles and a couple forced turnovers. Opposing QB's beware.

On O, I would say Calvin Johnson. Marshawn Lynch is a pretty good 2nd choice, though, since RB's usually can be good sooner than WR's or QB's. Joe Thomas will probably be the best one, but I doubt a tackle will get it.
On D, I like Patrick Willis. The 49ers will be a lot better this year, and so he will be able to partially ride that wave.
