People with cool complexions look best in silver or cool colors like blue or dark green. People with warm complexions look better in gold and warm colors with yellow in them (orange, ivory, etc.).

Most Asians and African-Americans, as well as Caucasian people with very light or very dark eyes and very blonde or very dark hair, are considered to have cool complexions.

People with red or brown hair and medium blue, green, or brown eyes with tan skin and usually gold undertones are considered to have warm complexions.

I hope I helped!

You tell by wearing "warm" or "cool" colors and determine which look better with your skin tone. Make sure you aren't tanned when doing so. Tanned skin looks great in just about every color. If you're femaile, then you can also achieve this with makeup colors. Warm colors are browns, reds, oranges, tan/beiges, mustard yellows, etc. Cool colors are light blues, pinks, purples, sunny yellows, etc.

Color of your eyes. They are pretty close, but blue and green eyes are generally fair to neutral skin and are considered a cool. If you have hazel, brown or dark eyes, then you are a warm.

If you look better in golds, coppers, earthy tones (jewelry, or clothes) you're warm. If you look better in silvers, blues, or "cooler" colors you're cool. Simple!!

Here's how to determine your skin tone:

Warm skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear green.
2. Gold jewelry is more flattering than silver jewelry.

Cool skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear blue.
2. Silver jewelry is more flattering.

usually, you can hold a cool color (like blue) and a warm color (like olive green) up to your face and see what looks better.
