I think they will because they have the players who seek the lombardi trophy for example Steve Mcnair he was one yard away from taking it and i think he wants to go there again and this time he wants to hold it in his hand and one and only Ray Lewis he is the reason that that the defence is the best in the league and Ed reed, chris mcalister and the best tight end thare is Tood heap and now the new running back willis mcgahee he might just have the most amount of yards this year.so i know the Ravens will go all the way to arizona.

Their only hole is the LB spot where Adalius Thomas played. Hopefully one of those LBs they drafted can fill that spot as well as Dawan Landry filled the Safety spot opposite Ed Reed last year. The Ravens should have found a way to keep Thomas. He was the most dominant of their playmakers last year. However, even with Adalius Thomas, they're still lightyears ahead of anybody else on defense (their defense last year was far more dominant than the 2000 defense, but doesn't look as good because scoring is higher these days; they never allowed more than 26 points and 26 points is an average score in an NFL game these days).

The biggest problem is Brian Billick's playcalling on offense. He was more conservative than the Fox News Channel last year. However, most of that was probably because McNair didn't know the playbook (Boller threw 3 TDs against Carolina in the only game they lost in which they actually did anything on offense and he threw 2 or 3 against Cleveland in a game where McNair didn't complete a pass). The Ravens were at their sharpest last season when they had Boller playing QB (of course McNair would have been booed if Boller hadn't been so bad the 3 years before). If McNair has learned BIllick's offense, the Ravens could be as good as the Viking teams Billick coached in the 90s (that's what they hired him for, which he has failed miserably at thus far). If the Ravens offense is sluggish yet again this year, there are going to be more people wanting to Fire Billick than there are wanting to Free the Birds.

They should win the Super Bowl this year (and could make a run at an undefeated season; how many teams lose 3 games while allowing 13, 13, and 15 points and another by a razor-thin margin, as the Ravens did last year?). They just need to play everybody like they play Pittsburgh (27-0 and 31-7, against an otherwise undefeated team during the last 2 months or so of the year). There was no excuse for the Indianapolis loss last January. The offense didn't even show up. However, there were multiple bad calls by the referees (NFL referees do favor Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, New England etc. and they are biased against Baltimore, Oakland, Seattle etc.).

The Pats are probably the only legitimate threat in the AFC to stop the Ravens. With the addition of McGahee, who will be running behind a stronger offensive line than what he had in Buffalo, their offense will be better. McGahee will take a load off of McNair. The Ravens have enough talent on defense to ease the loss of Adalius Thomas. McGahee also has fresher legs than Jamal Lewis, and should be able to run for a much better yards per carry than Lewis. The Ravens are solid at the skill positions, with Todd Heap, Steve McNair, Derrick Mason/Mark Clayton, and McGahee. They should win their division, because the Steelers and Browns are essentially in rebuilding mode, and the Bengals are lacking a lot on defense. The Ravens have a key matchup against the Patriots late in the season, and that could be the game that decides home-field in the AFC. If they were to get it, they have a good chance of making it. The obstacles the Ravens would have to get through in the postseason could be the Patriots, Chargers, or Colts. If they were to get to the big game, I would however say they have a good chance to beat whichever NFC team they face. On paper, they have a top 5 team in the NFL. However, they will have to back that up with performance on the field. They will be among the Superbowl contenders to start the season. To get there, they will need no major injuries, good play from McGahee and McNair, and for the defense to play up to their skill level. Then, they definitely have a great shot. Look for the Ravens to have at least 11 or 12 wins this year, and at the very worst one playoff win.

If they get a running game to take the pressure off McNair and the passing game; they have a good shot.
DEFENCE DOES NOT WIN GAMES...OFFENCE DOES.
Baltimore should realize that now after losing to Indy last year.
I betcha dey realize that in San Diego now too.
Speaking of which, in spite of new HC, whatshisname, :-); San Diego is a good bet to go to Super Bowl this ’07-’08 season.
I’m not picking them just yet; I'm just sayin.
I think that as it stands right now, they have a good shot at it.

Not with that no excuse of an offense & that aging defense. They won't win their division. The King is back-----Pittsburgh.
