I might choose Hungary, England,Greece, Italy or New Zealand.
The only cut on New Zealand is that it is so far off.
Hungary has lower rates, a fine culture, and is located on train routes to all of Europe. England is off the continent, but
has such a wonderfully rich history that makes up for its remoteness also. Italy is well-located, and has many smaller towns, major airports and buses; Greece has the best climate and is inexpensive if you want quiet and don't mind bus rides to get where you need to go.

All are preferable to the US as it is; any other country, you might need to speak the language and be rich to afford it;
there being no stable nations in South America or Africa or Asia with a government worth discussing (I leave out the Near East), I have omitted their cheaper alternatives for those reasons. France would be next on the list for me...

I would say England because the people speak English and I love those English accents and I would like to see the homes the Beatles lived in(I am a big Beatles fan from a long time ago)

One of the good countries for living is Holland.Very good life if you live in a small town.Another country is Switzerland.Should be good all Scandinavia if you like colder weather.
The countries with very good weather are usually not a good life standart.You cannot have all together.But I should preffer Holland because it is very free.

I even have lived in 7 different international locations, every time with a clean language, and all it has finished for me is open my eyes, learn something new, have a greater useful recognize-how of cultures, and made me greater adaptable and greater useful employable. yet I comprehend your concern. stay in England and stay and die interior the village the place your ancestors, grandparents, mom and father, and you have been born. it is your little spot of "domicile" the place you experience risk-free and there is not any longer something incorrect with that. purely be conscious that human beings could be coming to the place you reside, so your international is changing the two way.

London because I love London (technically the country is England but I'm more specific than that). There is so much there and even though it's expensive (but hey, I live in NYC) it's wonderful.

I would choose either England or Scotland because I have always been fascinated with that part of the world...traveling to other countries from there seems like it would be much easier.

I live in the UK, and I'm going to be really boring and say the USA. Mostly because I have family there - and I should be able to speak the language with relative ease.
