is it possible to go through high school without any friends ? can you be happy later on in your life ?

Friends is a subjective term. I have hundreds of "friends" but few that I can really count on, who I'd call in a crisis or who I choose to spend my quality time with.
You can get thru high school without friends - sure. When I was in high school, most of my friends had already graduated so I focused on my studies and working. I was fortunate later in life to reacquaint myself with people I grew up with, so reunions are quite fun for me.
If you're asking about someone else that you're concerned about, could there be problems at home? Could this person be just extremely shy? Be kind and see what happens.

Yes. I finally became friends with this one girl my sophomore year in high school. We're still friends 20 years later. I can't remember anyone else from high school. I have one other close friend, that I met during my intership at an EPA lab. I do not feel like I missed anything in high school, and I do not feel like I should have more friends now. I'm perfectly happy with only 2 close girl friends.

High school is hard. If you don't have any friends in school then don't worry, get good grades and study. Friends dont' get you a Bachelors Degree or $$$$ but look, it's not THAT hard to make friends. Be cool, be urself, and dont take this to offense, but if you're a dork, then there's gotta be other dorks just like you who like the same things you like..give it a shot..
If you don't have friends now don't worry cuz later in life, it'll be SOOO much easier to make friends just DON'T BE SHY!!! noone likes a shy person....

Sure. You can get through. And yes, later you can be happy.
That said, it is NEVER too late to make friends. Talk to people. Be friendly. Treat people with respect and care. Above all, get involved with various activities that you are interested. That is the fast track to easy friend-making. You can do it!
If you feel you are incapable of doing this, I strongly urge you to talk to your doctor and have them refer you to a therapist. You can get by without friends, but why would you want to? You can do whatever you want to do, but sometimes it involves getting some help. Good luck!

Oh my, I had something, not no friends, but few and I moved several times. I eventually avoided meeting people for the pain of losing them.
It's possible, but get out more, find a friend. Just remember that a frined will let you be you, and you should not have to change to be 'allowed' to be their friend.

u can always make new friends. u will get many in high school. i remember wen i joined college without my frnds, life was miserable until i met a girl there who til now is my best frnd. so dont worry. just keep talking to everyone in high school and very soon u wil hv a really big gang

It is very possible. BUT you will be miserable with no friends. Noone to talk to at school. I think psychologically a person who has no friends in highschool is messed up. you can be happier later on in life but you will always have those painful highschool memories.

yea u can caus ur better then them! in the future the unknowns are the one that make things happen and then we become great and powerful people.( weird huh?) im living alone cause i have a superiority complex but i dont inthrust it upon any 1 (i give and when i need i take) thats when u know the people that are full of Sh**.( trust me youll find some 1 for u andeveryone will dezpise u for being on top.

Everyone on this planet can count their best friends on one hand. What you think your missing now, will make you rich in life experience - down the road. And friends will come, if your are a good natured considerate person.

i finished my high school without any friends..
trust me.. to be without friends..is better than be with bad ones..
if you couldnt find..dont worry..life still goes by..
i am happy and yet i dont have too many friends..almost few of them and they are not on my age at all..but things will be fine..
make friend with your self..true to have classmate..who knows it might turn to friends..
