A lot of people consider them a classic rock band, I mean, they were around in the 70's and 80's and stuff, so I would use your best judgement. Or you could just say they're rock

AC/DC are considered classic rock, and one of the best classic rock bands out there, because they started back in the early '70s. Anything by AC/DC with Bon Scott is most definitely classic rock....at it's best.

Most definitely ! AC/DC songs have stood the test of time over several decades & are frequently played on classic rock stations.

Bands like ACDC, Rush and others that have managed to stick around for the last 30 years are clearly doing something right. Yes they're clasic Rock but they are also modern rock. What is every hard rock/Metal band doing today that ACDC or Hendrix or Zeplin or even Metalica has not done already.

Classic rock, yes...it is also included as a "hair band" in some cases. In the late 80's and early 90's it was still considered heavy metal...but it has been retired.

OK this is one of the big questions that ive asked people at music stores myself so here it goes, yes they are classic rock but definatly not metal people confuse them for metal A LOT.

Yea they are classic rock. I hate people that think they are any kind of metal or hard rock. I'd rather say that ACDC is a poser band because a ton of poser's listen to them and say they are the best. Almost all of their songs sound alike!!!!!!
