I use recycled copper wire to "write" messages and then hang the words in the garden to promote peace. Just get some copper wire at the recycling center and then bend it to make the words. The copper adds little sparkles to the greeness of the garden.

I have a sign, "THIS IS NO DOGGIE DOO AREA! Keep out." in the planting strip on the sidewalk in front of my house. I haven't seen any doggie present ever since. My neighbor joked, "The problem is that the dogs can't read it." Well, it's working, anyway. I should make a sign for kitty cat, too.
