I used to read those books all the time when I was little. Now, my daughter just LOVES him. He is very cute and fun, but is he actually a bad influence? Have you ever noticed that he never gets in trouble? He does all kinds of things he shouldn't be doing, but it's all okay because he's just a curious monkey....

He does get into all sorts of things and is cute as heck. As with other stories, reading gives a parent the opportunity to talk with their children about right & wrong and other issues. Keep it up, the reading. Does a child a world of good.

Curious George is just great. He is after all a monkey who never has seen the things he gets into before. He just wants to know about them and explores the only way he knows how, hands on.

I know which George you mean George Bush well most of the people think he looks like a baboon monkey,is a second Hilt er and he is going direct to hell.He is killing the American boys by hundreds and the Iraqis by thousands I don't know how can sleep at nights. They say that he is a front man of a big syndicate of warlords, luckily his puppy Blair been kicked out and they say that very soon will stop an Arab bullet.
That a few of what the people say.

He is awesome. I don't think you have to worry about him being a bad influence on your daughter. You are a good mom to be concerned about that though. The man in the yellow hat usually keeps George from getting into too much trouble.

no I don't think he is a bad influence but it is a good idea to teach tour kid right from wrong for inctence while reading the book to your daughter pause ( after you read the part were the monkey acts up) and say " what a bad monkey don't you think he will get in trouble?" and if your kid says no than simply correct her

good luck ^_^

I love him! I don't think kids are influenced by him because they know he's just a monkey and not a human. Plus, some of the things he does are things that kids wouldn't be able to do in real life.

Well, I have always been a little leery of the man in the yellow hat. He kind of makes me wonder why George feels the need to "act out"... ;)

But seriously, both my kids loved Curious George and I remember reading them when I was a kid. They didn't seem to cause any lasting damage.

a bad influence no like anything it comes down to the parent to show there kids what is worg or right if your child is misbehaveing beacuse of the books then you need to decide if its the books telling her that she wont get into trouble beacuse george dident then dont let her read them or one better read it with her and explane it to her that what he is doing is wrong
