The agreement was to defeat Germany first, if necessary just fighting a holding action against Japan. German occupied Europe would be assaulted indirectly, first clearing the Germans from the Mediterranean and then directly invading Northwest Europe. Meanwhile strategic bombing would aim at reducing the enemies ability and will to resist. The objective was defined as unconditional surrender.

The basic grand strategy was to defeat the Germans through materiel superiority.

They bombed the German industrial base relentlessly and stockpiled huge amounts of equipment before they invaded. The US in particular devoted very little energy and resources to innovation and weapons development and primarily focused on mass production.

Thats a big question. Essentially goal was to force a 3 front war France, Africa and East (Russian front) and push Germany back. The Africa campaign eventually led to Italy and then the three fronts converged on Berlin.

Air campaign was notable as the US and Britian developed long range bombers, something Nazi Germany never did. They were able to pound at Germanies industrial/military complex from rear operating bases, while protecting our own factories. In the end, American/British industrial capacity our produced Germany and they had less planes and less qualified pilots, spare parts etc to keep sky supremacy. Once Allies controlled the air, the sent in long range bombers to distrupt as much military and economic activity as possible. Nazi germany had rockets and technology (Jet Airplanes) far surpassing the Allies but it was either too little too late or mis used. Again technology was a theme as American fighter planes (p-51) which were developed late in war, just outperfomed the ME 109s and other german fighters which were not updated. Georing and Hitler focused on "super weapons", while ignoring critical updated to todays weapons.

On the naval front, the most effective german weapon the U boat tried to and was sucessful in disrupt Allied shipping, but Hitler was obsessed with big glamorous battleships( see Bismark and his pocket battleships Graf Spree and others, along with Carrier plans.) The Uboat force was not updated and did the heavy lifting and suffered the most losses. Allied convoys and air support played a deadly game of one upmanship in North Atlantic but eventually gained the upper hand as the German U Boat progame lost funding to Hitler's pet projects. The loss of experienced captains and crews was also devastating to the program. The final Nazi Uboats were light years ahead of the Allied verisions.

new weapons: Tons: Modern tank tactics the Panzers, especially Tiger IV and V's were the best thing going. Modern tank tactics (see battle of Kursk). Long Range Bombers, Jet Fighters, V1 and V2 Rockets, Gliders and parachute troops, germans perfected basic modern infantry with mechanized divisons, close air support - see Han Guderian and the initial phases of Blitzkreig, also battle of Dunkirk.

Hope this helps.
