Does anyone have any information on Locke's work's influence on the French and English revolution? Websites, ideas, anything.

Locke didn't really influence the English Revolution because he wrote after it. He did not influence the French Revolution that much because the French quickly went from one king to a dictatorship and then to another king.

Locke's real influence was on the American Revolution. The English Revolution was a revolt of Puritans against an English government that didn't allow them to control the Church. The French Revolution was an early Communist/Fascist revolution (the "proletariat" revolted first, but the eventual government was a fascist one).

The American Revolution was the only one fought for the inalienable rights to life, liberty, and property. Many people in England even supported it (for example Edmund Burke) because they recognized that the English government had mistreated the Americans.

Locke was correct that the Right to Revolution would be utilized too infrequently. However, he, like many other people, failed to understand that the only way to protect liberty is through the absence of the government, which was created by violence and is violence. Locke was mostly right, however his ideas would not be perfected until Murray Rothbard in the late 20th century took them to their logical extremes.

He believed in the worth of the common man and his ability to rule himself. He made the following revolutionary pronouncement: "Government exists with the consent of the governed." Imagine how the monarchy and nobility of Europe were flabbergasted by that idea!
