Here is my theory about the Holy Grail, See if you can agree. Now after the last supper what happened to the dishes used in the meal? Remember Jesus wasn't big on having stuff. The dishes would have been washed and put away by the servants of the house where the last supper was held. So here is my theory the cups etc that were used at the last supper were washed and put away no one would have been able to tell one from the other. So in my theory I lave to look at what Jesus said about his power and miracles. "You see the things that I do you will do these things and greater things you will do in my name!" So here in this statement, is the place to look for the holy grail. LOOK WITHIN. Do you agree?

The legend of the Holy Grail is a medieval romance that is intended as a metaphorical representation of the theology of the Catholic Mass. If you want to behold the mystery of the Grail-- call your local Catholic Parish and ask for Mass times. In terms of the Grail being "within" this is certainly an interpretation that modern people prefer because modernity isolates religious experience to the interior and the subjective. However, the Grail legend had something far more objective in mind. The interior experience of the grail legend is found in the discernment of the metaphors-- what they are and what they signify. But this is only part of the spirituality of the Grail romance. The objective dimension is the fulfillment, and that is found in reception of the tangible form of the Grail as it is given in what Catholic's believe is the Body and Blood of Christ called the Eucharist.

I'm sorry, I have to agree with the Dan Brown theory on the Holy Grail, especially considering that the word grail did not originally just refer to a cup. As far as that goes....who knows? Could be no where.

It is said to be in a tomb of some sort in Israel, but the Israeli government won't let anyone enter the tomb. Not even the Vatican. There is also speculation that it never even existed, and if it did it doesn't necessarily have to be the "glass" Jesus used, it could be any of the items he used. It cound even be a whole friggin supper ware set for all anybody knows.

Lancelot spent a good portion of his life seeking said object and that was pretty much the answer he found. While he DID find a chalice and used it to restore Arthur's faith, there is no definitive proof that the cup was the one from the last supper, but the symbol of faith that it represented did the trick. So YES, i think you're right.
On a related topic, you should read the Dead-Sea Scrolls. While considered apocrypha by the Roman-Catholic Church, these scrolls are the closest testament to the words of Christ.
Good read!

You are right in some respects.you do have to look within. The chalice he used and the dishes are most likely no longer in existance unless some one put them in a osuary box and hid them. I think it was a ideal started by early christians. And because they wanted items or relic's from the early church and Christ they looked for years for these things. We know these things are real but not where they are.Lots of these religious relics are kept safe and buried beneath alters and in churches in Italy and France etc. No one knows for sure where the Grail is or is it still is.

Ah, but your forgetting the celebrity factor. These days’ people sell famous celebrities dryer lint of eBay to stupid fans. Back in those days’ people would sell objects they claimed were touched by saints, or blessed by wise men, or pieces of the brick wall from temples were they worshiped their Gods. Most likely some sneaky staff member pocketed Jesus’ cup because from their perspective he was a controversial celebrity and it probably had some value or thought it had good ju-ju or something like that.

Here's my theory of the Holy Grail. It was an excuse to invade foreign countries when Christians would have no other excuse to do so.

I agree with you in as much as people routinely look outside themselves for things that could or should be found within.

The grail is a symbol of that more than anything else.
