Your question is a little vague. What position are you wanting to play? What is your body type? Are you tall or shorter? How old are you? There are a lot of factors to examine in order to to determine what you mean by "out of shape". If you're wanting to change that fat into muscle, you're going to have to exercise and take a hard look at your food intake. Get with your doctor and possibly a dietician tell, them what you're shooting for and they will help you.

LIFT weights dont do little 40 lb weights either do about 80 after you get warmed up go for mile runs and eventually go to two What position r u going out for because a lineman is alot bigger than a WR Im a WR for Avon and its pretty hard to get varsity also drink protein shakes maybe even a protein bar or two a day

I would say that you should start lifting weights and you can also drink whey protein to help your muscles recover faster that way you can get stronger. As for dieting, I would say it just depends what position you want to play. If you want to be a skill position player it probably wouldn't hurt to loose some weight. If you want to be a lineman then i would say you are perfectly fine at that weight, just lift so you will become more muscular.

jog and lift weight slowly. build your body up from the bottom. if you try too much all at once, you will quit before you really begin. ask some of the players on the team to help work with you.

build your indurance up slowly by jogging, lift some weights do sit ups. hurts to start but if u really want it u can do it
