Emotions just get in the way.

Well, since you appear to be a Trekkie I'd suggest you brush up on your "Enterprise." They filled in a lot of interesting gaps during that series about the division of emotion and logic and the difficulty of integrating the two. Seems a lot of the Vulcans had interpreted their version of the bible incorrectly. Wonder where we've seen that before?

Logic AND emotion. Yes, we must have both, in balance, neither too much of one or the other.

Vulcan emotions don't 'get in their way,' they are extremely volatile and are suppressed for the safety of their society. I watch too much television, too, jackass.

It's hard for planes to show emotions but I bet they were upset when the RAF scrapped them!

I grew up idolizing Spock and suppressing my emotions. I would raise my eyebrows and say "fascinating" and things like that. I would remain perfectly calm when everybody else got excited. And I would think "crazy humans." I've completely forgotten where I intended to go with this............................

Most people feel their emotions distinctly, therefore, to base your actions as if emotions do not exist is illogical.

That's the truth. If we have no emotions then nothing can hurt us.
