The philosopher is born.
The philosophy is made.
Any individual will the capacity to conceive thoughts is
a philosopher. Under the previous statement that includes
anyone who has free will. Therefore, in my opinion
all individuals are born philosophers. Throughout life
some philosophers exercise their philosophy more than
others and in that sense the philosophy is made, but
the philosopher exists even before the philosophy has
been recognized.

Born! Without any doubt. It takes so many generations before the philosopher is born to create that philosopher --and this is done on purpose. It is not an accident.

A person must be born inorder to become a philosopher; the person must want to be a philosopher, the person must find a person or books the teach him or her, philsophy. Zeno of Citrum, Cyprus, the man whose philosohic concepts are to be found in the US Declaration of Independence, had to find a Cynic who knew philosophy, and pay him a large sum of money.Aristotle went to Athens to study under Plato. Aristotle lwas or became the richest man in Greece.

Hmm...basically philosophy is thinking, which is a born thing. But thinking deeply about life is a made thing, not usually by force, so I think it's more of a "made".
