See, And ALOT Of Kids Now-A-Days Couldn't Tell You That This Was Pretty Much The First Hip-Hop Song!! And They Claim To "Know/Listen" To Hip-Hop!! Hip-Hop Music Is Pretty Much Made A Turn For The Worse Now!!

Yes! It's a great classic during the more innocent days of rap. It's around the same time as Kurtis Blow, the Fat Boys, Whodini, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Special Ed, Kool Moe Dee! There were so many greats then! The true forerunners of rap/hip-hop!

The song by Sugar Hill Gang? I know it. it was one of the first, and still most recognizable Hip Hop songs. I'm not gonna type the lyrics though. It's like over 8 minutes long!

Now what you hear is not a test
i'm rappin to the beat
and me, the groove, and my friends
are gonna try to move your feet
see i am wonder Mike and i like to say hello
to the black, to the white, the red,
and the brown, the purple and yellow
but first i gotta bang bang the boogie to the boogie
say up jump the boogie to the bang bang boogie
let's rock, you dont stop
rock the riddle that will make your body rock
Well so far youve heard my voice
but i brought two friends along
and next on the Mike is my man Hank
come on, Hank, sing that song
