Demo is short for demonstration. It will be a small section of the game then you need to buy the full game, or it will be the full game on a timed basis then you will need to pay for a registration key to unlock and use it.

You will only be allowed to use the free trial once as they usually leave a registry entry after uninstalling the demo.

A demo of a game is usually a free sample of the game. This can be used to either show a games progression in development or to interest the player (the person playing the demo) to invest in the full product.

It is a trail version of the game, it will go through some of the real game but limit you on certain parts of the use of the demo or will let you play the whole game with all the options but only let you play for a certain time, eg: 1 hour.

It is free but, the game is missing parts and features. It is not the whole game it only a part to show how the game is and that what demo is.

you have to pay to keep it. some demos will only let you play 1 or 2 times. some only let you play to a certain point in the game (ex: level 1 only).

demo just means that you don't get the whole game, mostly some features of the game cannot be used because it is jsut like a trial, it's so that you can try it and if you like it, you can buy the game.

It means that it either is not the full game with all the functions or that it will only play for a very limited period of time.

It is a "Demonstration" copy. a.k.a "Demo"
