Is there any way to detect ovulation after a miscarriage but before your next mesterual cycle? I charted my temp before I got pregnant but stopped when I knew I was pregnant. I recently miscarried at 5 weeks, had a D&C two and a half weeks ago. I have stopped bleeding, but have a spot here and there when I wipe still of dark brown. Any similar experiences or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help.

You should start charting again and get an ovulation predictor. I also chart everything. Here is a link to an excellent chart. Your doctor will also love if you do this!

You can use ovulation preidtcor strips, that tell you 24-48 hours before ovulation. Since you are supposed to wait a few months after a miscarriage to get pregnant, I'm assuming you are trying to avoid getting pregnant, and since sperm can live up to 5 days, you could get pregnant if you had sex before the predictor strips predict ovulation. Also, cervical mucus becomes similar to egg white when you are ovulating.

i misscarried at 7 weeks once and spotted like you mentioned for 3 months my doctor ended up putting me on hormone pills to get my body back on track...which started my periods back up on a normal schedule. give your body a rest even if you want another pregnancy right away make sure you take the proper time to grieve... remember that the miscarriage was not your fault and when you ready start your prenatal vitamins a few months before and take it easy, try to not be stressed... to you sorry this has happened to you best of luck
