Well away from the religious aspect of it, I think current pornography is a bad source of sexual education for the younger generation. By depicting women as mere sexual objects, young boys and girls get a skewed view of what women are as people.
Women become sex objects first and people second. I don't condemn pornography at all, I just think the way it is depicted needs to change so that society's views of women as just sex objects, tramps, and sluts will be reconstructed and changed. To change this, I think the porn industry should shift away from men and share the production and filming with women, so women can have a say in how they want to depicted sexually.
Or this may do nothing at all, since it may still be mostly men who watch and buy it. =/

when doesnt it injure or offend someone?
there are many levels behind porn from the filming of porn to the selling of and then who buys it and how does it effect those who watch it and how does it effect the behavior of the person towards others.it doesnt stop with the person who looks at it.and sure maybe you are a responsible person and it doesnt become an addiction for you ,it doesnt ruin your life or your sexual out look or the way you treat women.but it does that for alot of people.
look at it this way.what if you had the chance to make alot of money selling drugs .you dont do them but other people do and its a living ,besides what they do with it is their business right? not your responsibility.so you sell the drugs.some people go crazy and kill themselves or others, some wreck their marriages ,lose their jobs, suffer mental anguish but that doesnt affect you because your responsibility ends at the time of purchase.you cant be blamed because they took the drug.
there really isnt much difference.

Pornography objectifies women and has a great capacity for affecting men's perceptions of women, their respect for women, and also their expectations of women. A man who becomes obsessed with porn will damage his ability to relate on a healthy level with women and also do harm to his sex life with his wife or significant other. There are a LOT of psychological studies as well as sociological studies that don't even have anything to do with religion or faith-based condemnation that have explored the unhealthy side of porn.

Pornography has nothing to do with religion!!!!!!!
My ex used to be quite fascinated with it - I did watch one movie (before we began our family). What I did NOT like was the fact they always showed the female naked and the male still had all of his clothes on. If young people were to watch it; it depicts women as 'sex objects' and the man completely innocent.
I've also heard about various sex practices which is totally gross. Anyway, pornography physically and emotionally injures and offends females of all ages.
It also, psychologically gives males the permission to be sex predators.

It does injure/offend people. The spread of diseases and the emptiness after one meaningless encounter after another. It is also degrading and some porn stars have talked about feeling depressed and empty. You are basically getting treated like a sex object and that is all, it can harm a person's self worth and esteem.

Appeal to Kant-- human beings should be considered as an end, rather than a means. Pornography reduces another human being to a means toward another person's sexual gratification.

Many of the girls and/or guys who participate in pornography are underage and being exploited with the promise of money and fame. They are not making adult informed decisions. They are being lured.

It DOES injure people -- all people. It puts females in a category. In a category in the minds of the porno-loving-low-lifes. And this putting all females in this category hurts all females. Most particularly those who have to have ANYTHING AT ALL to do with the porno loving low lifes. For one thing these probably innocent, decent females are now more subject to be molested, mauled, killed.
What if porno on children were allowable by law-- do you understand, can you understand that it would hurt babies and children? That they would be more exploited than they are now? Now the police are on our side; they are not on yours.
Porno should be put on an island named Porno island! Porno loving people should be with or without their permission sent to that island to live, forever with other like people. This should be made a law. Whether the porno wanted victimizes babies or children or women or homosexuals they should all be sent to th island. If they write their material should not be published. If they entertain they should be banned except on their island.

I don't see your point - 'moral' and 'immoral' are faith-based decisions. That's like saying, "Other than laws, what makes exceeding the speed limit illegal?"
