I have to fly to India from US in the second week of June 2007 and return in second week of August 2007. I am having an agent quote me the lowest price might be from Jet via London / Mumbai / Chennai. I just wanted to know whether Jet Airways from India is a GOOD AIRLINES to fly with.

Yes, excellent service. I never traveled on intl sectors but even in domestic routes Jet airways is providing a good service to the passengers while comparing with other private carriers. I would suggest you to choose Jet.

earlier there were only 2 airlines in india. one was indian airline for internal flights/domestic flights in india and air india for international flights. after open sky policy in last few years many airlines started their opeartion out of which jet airways is one of the largest private air line in india. u can very well fly with it.

Chennai is better. Mumbai is not worth considering.

Flew them in-country last August. DEFINITELY the best, very clean, very friendly, excellent food and service. I'd fly them again anytime, even over US carriers.
