Certainly, get a router and plug both into it. It will share the connection as well as allow you to move files and share a printer.

Look, I'm no geek but I use Network Magic with [3] desktops and [1] soon to be 2 laptops. The max for this service is 5 and I say the more the merrier. I am not promoting this service but I was never successful setting up my network with the Microsoft prompting. My laptop really isn't hard to work with but connecting my [3] printers is tricky. If you have a laptop[say Dell or HP] then you have a wireless card, it will pick up the router you already are using. Check out the wireless programs that are out there.....It should make things easier.......

You need a router, then you can do that. I have 5 computers at home running off of 1 connection.

Yes you can use a wireless bloutooth adapters for the tow PCs and by connecting this bloutooth adapters you can connect to the internet from the home PC and then use the bloutooth adapter from the portable PC to connect to the dial up networking

If you have a wireless router and wireless cards in you PC and laptop, then yes.

I used to do exactly the same thing until my ex smashed my laptop to bits!

I don't know abut ethernet connection babe. (Wires).

if you have a broadband connection you can go get an inexpensive wireless router and follow the instruction for creating a home network

Yes you can all you need is a Ethernet splitter or a phone splitter depends on what type you have.After, this just hook your computer to the two cables and enjoy.

if you use Cable or DSL internet you can use a ethernet router. most likey you would want a wireless router for the laptop so it is mobile

simple but not cheap, buy a modem, i recommend a wireless one and buy a wireless card for your laptop and it will come with instructions to tell you the rest

use a wireless broadband connection.Use BT and as you claim to be dim they will set it up for you(for a fee)
