is there a statute of limitations on this type of thing? I think as a parent now, that the sicko that molested me as a kid should have to register and let others know he is a sick freak. Is it too late to press charges? He started doing things to me 25 yrs ago. It ended 15 yrs ago. Didn't report him to cops when I went thru counsiling due to him being a relative. Did I wait too long?

in simple terms because Dad became molested would not propose he will become a molester. is that this a custody conflict? sounds like sis may be attempting to set issues up. If sis has referred to as cps and the police and they do no longer some thing then possibly she could eliminate the bf so the youngsters might want to stay with her. Have the youngsters considered a Dr? that could likely be my next step. Dr's are required to record suspected abuse. sturdy success!

Do you seriously think during 25 years, you are the ONLY person he molested? Maybe if one of his other victims sees his arrest in the news, they may come forward. Any way you look at it, YOU would feel safer knowing you finally outgrew his threats and can look him in the eye with confidence and tell him what he did was horrifically wrong, and you are content knowing you put a stop to his behavior. Do you have siblings or cousins or neighbors? Let him know via your attorney, and confront him in court, not before.

I don't believe there is a statue of limitations when it comes to this kind of thing. You should indeed contact someone asap and report that person. Not just for yourself, but to protect others. Whackos like that don't deserve to walk around freely. I am so sorry for what you have had to endure. Despite it, you are a wonderful person, loved by God and I'm sure loved by many others. I pray you have found healing from such awful experiences. God bless you!

Amid the clergy abuse scandal nationwide, the statute of limitations in Pennsylvania for victims to lodge sexual abuse allegations was extended in 2002 to a victim’s 30th birthday; victims previously had only two years after their 18th birthday.
