Wow some of the answers are disturbing.
Not be afraid to speak up even if it is contrary to the party-line.
To demand for the people , by the people, of the people.
Turn off the i-pods and get them out of our ears so we can hear the truth and life.
To not believe what the TV tells. This includes the talking heads and those damn marketers. We have become so complacent and BS'd for so long. Wake up.

SIMPLE: VOTE ON THE LIBERTARIAN TICKET COME NEXT ELECTION. Get as many others that you can to at least REASEARCH the web page for the Libertarian party. Then, realize that the democratic republican party is just that, ONE PARTY!!! That party has been consolidated into a professional group of politicians(magicians!) that have hoodwinked the American public through fraud, deceit & a total lack of morality. If you want YOUR country back, then YOU need to take responsability in your voting for campaigning officials. Every vote counts in this "battle" to free Americans from the "MAGICIANS" of the democratic republican party.

The only fallacy is that our country was ever gone. It's still a government by the people, of the people, and for the people- they just stopped telling the people how to take advantage of it. Don't worry, your government is still yours- just start taking part. Donate your time or money to a lobby group that voices an interest you feel strongly in, or start your own. Volunteer on a campaign if you find a candidate you believe in. Encourage constructive debate. Civic participation requires more than simple voting and bitching.

America has control never lost it just because it isn't going the way you want doesn't mean things are wrong.
More people getting involed in the process. Tides of people's view of things change.
Truth is we have our freedoms and they are intact. Truth is we do have free exchange of ideas in this country.
Truth is not everyone will agree. Truth is this country both Christians, non-Christians, conservatives, liberals, etc have a right to express their views.

I'm not sure we ever will be able to now that we've given it away in fear. When those in power are allowed to indemnify themselves of any wrong-doing there is no accountability. Extremists on both the liberal and conservative sides in this country have no interest in what is good for the country as a whole; only supporting their own agendas.

The kool-aid drinkers are giving this country away to the politicians because they are weak-minded and gullible. They are only too happy to give away our freedoms because they think it will improve the country. They have yet to crack open a history book and understand that this has never worked. They won't see the danger until its too late.

It's going to take some hard work on our part. We have to hold our elected officials accountable for what they do, and get enough people interested in doing this so that they realise that if they don't do their jobs properly, they won't have one, well not the job they have now.

WE have never lost it. It's just that a lot of liberals think they are more important than the country.
