1. Go to the grocery store and smell all of the liquid fabric softeners. Buy the one with the strongest smell that you actually like.
2. Go to the dryer sheets, and pull a corner of each sheet out of the box. Open the liquid and hold the dryer sheet over it. Smell all of them until you find complimentary scents, then buy those dryer sheets.
3. Go to a New Age Shop or ANY store that sells Essential Oil. BRING A DRYER SHEET ALONG, SPRINKLED WITH THE LIQUID FABRIC SOFTENER! Hold the dryer sheet over the tops of the bottles of essential oil and smell them all until you find complimentary scents.
4. Wash the jeans. Add TWICE the normal amount of detergent, and THREE TIMES the normal amount of liquid fabric softener (VERY important, or you'll have a bubble explosion!)... Add two drops of essential oil per gallon of water used by the washer. Now add a gumball-size amount of a WHITE toothpaste (Rembrandt works GREAT!) and a 1/2 cup of baking soda.
5. Put a drop of essential oil on EACH dryer sheet in the box. Dry the jeans with ALL the dryer sheets.

Bet you 10 they are oil finished jeans, I knwo cause I cant stand the smell either. Try washing them in arm and hammer washing destrgent with some laudy boost as well, then tumble dry on hot and then hang them outside on a hot day in the breeze. All of this trying to get as much of the residue out as possible. THis may help, you may also just not be about to get it out

in the adventure that your denims are jet black, use warning with the Oxyclean and borax as there is an hazard that it will fade your pants. previously you are trying including yet another chemical to do away with a chemical scent, try including white vinegar on your wash water. once you're washing only the pants in a small load, do no longer use extra advantageous than a million/4 cup. Rinse in sparkling water. do no longer trouble, as long as you do no longer use too plenty, you will no longer then would desire to deal with your pants smelling like salad. i take advantage of vinegar in my daughter's diapers and that they scent super while they're completed. Vinegar is an superb deodorizer and could help dissolve detergents and optimistically notwithstanding residual chemical components are on your pants inflicting the scent. If that doesn't artwork (and that i will admit that isn't any longer certain), try an no longer sizeable are of your pants first with the Oxyclean to ensure the dye will postpone.

get coffee beans put the jeans in a big zip lock bag together with the coffee and let it sit for a couple of days! , then wash them again in hot water.
It works with old smelly vintage clothes.
You can also try to wash the with a cup of lemon or lime juice and half cup of baking soda. I use that to wash my cats bedding. ( and my male cat is a Tomcat) If that doesn't take the smell away, wow!!
Burn them!

What detergent or fabric softener are you using? That might have something to do with it. Do all your clothes smell, or is it just your jeans? I'm not being mean---it might be your water. Can everbody smell it or is it just you? Have a good friend smell them and have them give you their opinion. Have them dry cleaned, or take them to a laundromat to see if it's something wrong with you washing machine. I hope they stop smelling for you!!

That's strange... call the manufactor.. let them know about this smell and everything you've tried.... they may send you a new pair...
otherwise try washing it another time in vinegar and water...
add 1/2 cup of vinegar in a washerful of water .. jeans alone, set at medium load...
see if that helps... if then you dont smell that weird smell, rewash them w/ detergent..

go back to where you bought them and see if all the rest of the same pants smell the same as the one you have. If not buy a new pair. If so get your money back.
