you are expressing what most ppl are thinking. the story about the little boy,his mother was with him at the time.where was maddies parents when she went??? not with her for sure.
if a single mother on benefits(no disrespect to them,i've been a single mum before) in this country left her child in the house while she went out & it got abducted she would be labelled a bad mother & probably get prosecuted. being proffessional & loaded doesnt make you good parents.children are being abducted all to often lets think of them poor things & maddie of course & not use all our sympathy on her parents.if i sound too harsh i apologise

Yes, it would be great if all missing children had millions of pounds donated to find them, and constant media coverage, and people in many countries posting their faces everywhere, and wearing yellow ribbons.
But alas, the media choose what will be new worthy, and white parents who are doctors, with a pretty daughter etc etc, is something that they think warrants coverage over any other child abduction.
A terrible statement on our society.

I am completely with you on this one. What about all of those children who have gone missing in the past, and those that are likely to go missing in the future. Every missing child should be important, I too cannot understand why maddie is being prioritised!

I agree. Maddie's life is no more important than any other child's life. It's just because she's a pretty, white, western girl that people actually care. If she was from Africa, or Asia, or some dirt poor place where babies are killed or raped all the time, we would have never heard of her.

The media loves when an attractive white child like this one is kidnapped, they play it up to epic proportions and the viewing audience loves it! It was a slow news day the day she disappeared.

no you aint ignorant or mean, the rest of us are, the media capitolise on maddy they sell lots of papers and magazines, they focus their attention on her because she is pretty, good family, has status, happened abroad on vacation e.t.c
its not a normal abduction e.t.c they romantisise it its the medias fault, and the people like lapdogs start barking just like clockwork :)
nobody gives 2 rats *** about the rest of the kids, they only donate money to this girl, people make me sick not only are they stupid and cant think for themselves itsl ike they are factory produced people walking on our planet all sharing the same thought pattern obvlivious to any other cases of abduction and sifter it away like it doesnt even exist. good game.

no you are right. but this is more about what stories the media decide to run with. there is public interest so they keep following it.
the maddie story is not more important but it is the one the papers and news broadcasters are running with.

Excellent point. I just hope more people get the same idea; that ALL missing children deserve to be searched for until found.
