One of the terrorists who tried to attack Fort Dix was arrested 15 times for driving on a suspended license. Not only was he not jailed, they didn't even deport him. I personally never have heard of anyone doing jail time for driving on a suspended license.

She was on probation for a suspended license and a dui. She already had 1 violation of her probation, so her punishment more then fit the crime, she could have got up to 6 months and a $5000 fine. Before anyone feels sorry for her look up the law and look up what she is actually going to jail for.

Yes, Paris Hilton is being sent to jail because she is a celebrity. Some of the public would like to see her come down a peg or two, however, her time would best be spent doing community service rather than spend her time idly in a jail cell. Jail should be for more serious crimes, such as armed robbery, rape and murder.

By giving her the opportunity to help others, hopefully, she will realize the severity of her mistake, while allowing her to feel grateful that she has a privileged life and perhaps she will learn from the experience.

You are completely oversimplifying what happened. She was not jailed for driving on a suspended license. She was jailed for driving on a suspended license TWICE after being arrested for drunk driving and being given a break for it AND refusing to attend the court-ordered alcoholics classes. Drunk driving is a serious crime. She is lucky she didn't get jailed then. She was warned and given a break TWICE. Strike three. She is out. It had nothing to do with her being a celebrity.

And I'm willing to bet you are also oversimplifying the case with the terrorist. Where did you get your information?

she broke parole twice! And from what I hear, and from the pics I've seen recently, she's STILL driving with a suspended license! She's a spoiled little brat that needs a reality check! Too bad the judge didn't agree to send her out here to Phoenix to stay in tent city! That sure would have taught her a lesson!

No, I don't think that Paris Hilton is being sent to jail because she's a celebrity. I think that she is being sent to jail because she broke the law, and so she needs to go to jail. I believe that people as stupid as her should go to jail, especially if they broke the law. Just because she is a celebrity doesn't mean that that is why she is being sent to jail.

No, she almost wasn't jailed because she IS a celebrity. It is her own fault, and she shouldn't not go to jail for something everyone else would have to go to jail for. She is human, like the rest of us, not some kind of goddess!

paris hiliton ain't nobody special, the law applies to everybody, she already knew what could happen and she took that chance so she's getting exactly what she deserves some jail time to think about what she did

She's going to Jail 'cause she's really stupid, and should do more time then just 43 days. She should do it for a very long time.

LOL

you aren't serious, right!?! SHE BROKE THE LAW. Not only that, they gave her SEVERAL chances to make it up by taking courses, community service, etc., and she didn't do ANY of it. She EXPECTED to get off because she was famous, and I think this was a big wake up call for her.
