We have to use our tax dollars to invade countries because the countries we are invading won't pay us to do it.. No one disagrees about using taxes to help people. The issue is who to help and how to do it.
Conservatives think that Americans are best helped by having as many of their sworn enemies dead as possible.
They also think that you can help people most by taxing them less. Go figure.

Conservatives, schmonservatives! Not one of them, except Ron Paul is their own man. Tax dollars are not for foreign invasion or for welfare. People will best be helped by lower taxes and less government.

Cons are more concerned with the Iraqi people being 'free' from oppression than they are for the homeless in America. They ignore the fact that a good percentage of the homeless are veterans. We do know they like to cut veterans benefits because they have already done it.

I don't mind helping US Citizens that need help. I do however don't want to support people just because they are lazy or they think breeding is a occupation. I will not support people from other countries but will help them out if there country has experienced a natural disaster i.e. Pakistan.

Interesting qu. Probably because the countires that are invaded are a harm / potential harm to the US and need to be delt with sooner than later. Some govt help is ok, but not getting tons of govt help is incentive to get off your *** and work for a living.

By fighting in Iraq, the government is helping people here. Haven't you noticed how few skyscrapers we've had blown to bits, with thousands of lives lost, in the last few years ?

Why are liberals all about giving handouts to everyone as long as they can benefit from it. Example: All thee people on welfare and in the projects. The libs give them money and they get votes. But as soon as the libs can't benefit from a handout or helping people (the Iraq war) they start bitching and Bush bashing.
The Iraqi President has asked us to stay and help. And the libs say were not wanted there. go figure.
