spray it down with some PB blaster and let it soak a few minutes then try again. they can be stuborn but try no to break it as they are not cheap

the egr valve should have at least 2 bolts and the tube 1 bolt,take them out and the egr valve should lift off.you might still have a bolt or 2 left in the intake.

The egr valve tube goes from your valve cover to your intake manifold. The valve covers are the two things on each side of the center on a v8 motor.
