I have never seen an episode of this show, but my boyfriend has and says its very good. But my question is. Will I be able to watch the show from the season its in now(repeats since its probably had the season finale) without being completely lost, or should I have started from season 1? Are there any stations that show the old seasons?

The season finale is May 29. You won't be completely lost if you start watching now, but it's easier to pick up on the dynamic of the characters if you start from Season 1. Your boyfriend could fill you in, but it's not the same. Season 1 and possibly 2 are on DVD.

House is a great show! You'll have missed a little bit of history if you start watching now, but not enough to make the show any less enjoyable. It's not like Lost or 24 where you won't have a clue. A couple of cable stations show older episodes...I believe it's Fx and USA...possibly TBS.

No you don't need too I love the show!!!! It has a different patient each time, so you don't need to know a lot.
The only thing you need to know is that
A guy is leaving and they all don't want him to leave
and house is a stuborn pig.

The show 24 is something you can't watch for the season finale on monday.
The reruns i think are on Usa network or something like that

You'll be addicted to the show!
One of my favorites...

There is a slight story continuity, but most of the show is episodic - you can watch it in any order. Reruns are shown on USA network, new shows on FOX (1 left this season).

While there are some story arcs you may not quite get, there is a different patient in each episode, which helps them be a bit more self-contained and easy to pick up on!

USA shows old episodes - Fridays and Saturdays usually.

Enjoy, its a great show!

There are repeats but not sure what channels. You don't have to have seen other seasons to know what's going on. It might help but isn't a must.

There will be somethings that will leave you to question since you have never seen an episode, however you should be able to pick up on them with reruns...You can still jump in on it and enjoy it! I LOVE House!!! He doesn't have the best bedside manner but if I were in dire need of medical help I would want him on my side!!

I love this show. I just started watching maybe 2 months ago and I'm not lost. It's not like 24 where you have to watch from the beggining to understand what's going on.

House can most likely be picked up at any point. Sure there are like most shows elements and themes that are carried throughout the season but most of them are self contained stories.
