I have had both and I like satellite a lot better, I have my dvr, the channels come in crystal clear, and you get a lot more channels. I have Directv, I never lose reception unless there is a tornado outside, and you get you local channels for no extra charge.

I tend to prefer Digital Cable, rather than Satellite. Although Comcast isnt exactly "Comcastic" as they state in their commercials, I have had better all around experiences with Comcast Digital Cable, rather than Direct TV or Dish Network. Satellite tends to be affected by weather and climate changes much more than digital cable does, and you can usually get a good deal with high speed cable internet as well.

I have cable. I started with the cable switched to satellite and went back to cable. Cable usually doesn't go out as often as the satellite.

I've had both. right now I have satellite. I prefer Cable.. why.. because when it rains.. my satellite can't find a signal and it goes out.. aside from that I don't get the local news. But it was cheaper to get satellite... which is why i got it.

I prefer satellite becuase there is much more channels available and less expensive than cable. The problem is that when there is strong rain or wind, the satellite signal is impaired and you cant watch tv for a while

Cable. Because with cable you don't have to wait for the signal of the satellite to get back to your satellite dish.

I have had both and strongly prefer cable. Satelite always got fuzzy when the wind would blow and also was on a different time zone. With digital cable nowadays you can have as many channels as with satelite and you can have things like "on Demand" and "DVR" that make it so you aren't limited to just watching what is on TV right now, but when you want to watch it. I'm not sure if satelite TV offers that yet or not.

Oh no! Be careful with satellite! We had cable and switched when we moved because cheaper price and more channels! When it would storm it would go out! we heard this may happen when it rains. (rain doesn't bother it)! It has to storm! anyway this is what happened! We had it for months and had a few problems here and there and got rid of it because I got a computer and wanted to have cable connection (faster) so we paid our bill and called and cancelled satallite...All good until the DAY before we left for Disney World! and I checked my account and boom! there was $600 dollars gone! they took the money out of my account because they said they didn't have the "box" back! when you sign a agreement its in there to allow them to go to your account and take money for supplies or such...(my bf signed the agreement)! so I called and they said when you send it to us we will give your money back! so here we leave for Disney and I had to have my Mom! take the box to UPS and ship it! they told her KEEP this receipt! becasue they will come back in a few months and say they NEVER got it! so she held on to it! when we got back two weeks later! I called and got our money back! it took some teeth pulling! but I got it! they DID try to say they never got it! and I said "really I have the shipping receipt and DC"! and oh they found it! but don't deal with the drama! just go with cable! even though you pay a little more! its less of a headache!
ps! the UPS store also told me that one poor older man shipped the box and they claimed they never got it and took his $600 and he bounced all these checks and bills! they couldn't give him another recipt because it was months before hand! :( that is horrible!
