Nothing is the absence of tangible objects but it is impossible to prove a negative. The word Allah, which is God's primary name in Islam literally means "The Nothing."
So how can anyone prove nothing? They cannot, therefore God is unprovable. But.....it is also impossible to prove that God does not exist.
Science does not admit to the idea of Nothing. In scientific logic there is only size and scope. Atoms are so small that they appear to be nothing, empty, but even this appearance of emptiness is actually full. Space appears to be full of nothing, completely empty but it only looks that way when compared to our planetary environment. It has been discovered that space is actually full of things like Dark Matter and Dark Energy and light and gravity.
It is the same thing with the God or no God debate. God appears to be nothing only when compared to the familiar environment that we live in. If we are removed from this environment and taken to another environment like say the dream realms where most of us spend each night as our physical body sleeps, we see that God, or a intelligent presence if you will, is present everywhere and even inanimate object have consciousness.
So here is the formula: Nothing = everything is everything divided by emptiness times E=MC2 = Universal Awareness.

"you're making something out of nothing"
Hmmmm i guess nothing is what something is made from, or so they say, however "you can't get something for nothing", so there must be a specialised process to convert nothing to something, sort of like matter and anti-matter.

Seriously though, "nothing" is the absence of anything, literally "no"-"thing", or not anything. The word "nothing" is also used to describe people, events or things which have no importance or significance.

Example- There was "nothing" in the container, it was completely empty.

I have often wondered myself. There is a wonderful novel called As She Climbed Across The Table by Jonathon Lethem in which one of the main characters is basically the embodiment of nothing named Lack.

'Nothing' has at least two meanings. Otherwise it would be logical to argue:
Dry bread is better than nothing.
Nothing is better than wisdom.
Therefore dry bread is better than wisdom.
