Intel Core 2 Duo Simply because it has an easier time multitasking. The Core 2 Duo is layered just for things like gaming, while you look at a stock report, etc. All and all the Core 2 duo will give you more performance in a whole.

well..... that would depend on the type of AMD and the type of Intel, i prefer AMD, theyre gaming processors, in performance i think AMD is better and theyre cheaper because theyre a smaller company. But in cooling i think Intel won because they can afford to do more R and D but Intel slows down as the temperature goes up..... personally i think id get the AMDs cause im a heavy gamer and because since theyre cheaper, you can get a better model.
Overall
Games and shorter time on laptop: AMD
buisness and long computing(more than 5-6 hours): Intel
theyre also different things like memory RAM screen and all that

in case you haven't any longer have been given sufficient money, purchase the turion, yet once you elect long battery existence and extreme overall performance in multi-tasking purposes and in video games purchase a center 2 duo (as much as 40 % swifter than turion X2). I propose which you purchase the "HP Pavillion Intel Centrino cellular, Intel middle 2 Duo Processor T5200 2048MB ddr2 reminiscence"
