On February 8, 2007, Smith was found unresponsive in room 607 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. According to Seminole Police Chief Charlie Tiger, at 1:38 p.m. (18:38 UTC) Smith's friend and bodyguard, Maurice "Big Moe" Brighthaupt, who was a trained paramedic, called the hotel front desk from her sixth floor room. The front desk in turn called security, who then called 911. At 1:45 p.m. the bodyguard administered CPR before she was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital at 2:10 p.m and pronounced DOA at 2:49 p.m.
A phone call was released to the public on February 13, 2007 involving Seminole police and the local 911 operators, saying:
We need assistance to Room 607 at the Hard Rock. It's in reference to a white female. She's not breathing and not responsive...actually, it's Anna Nicole Smith

It was a combination of factors, with drug overdose at the top of the list. She also had some abscess on her buttocks that had become infected. She was recovering from pneumonia and high fever. Her immune system was weakened, and she was debilitated by a deep depression. So many things led to her demise, but I think the bottom line is, she just never recovered from the loss of Daniel - and I don't think she ever WOULD have, either. As much as she loved her new baby daughter - in a sense, the baby was a painful reminder of the child she could never get back. Life had become more than she could bear. You can SEE it in her final interviews.
Very sad story, probably the saddest I have ever heard of.

They say a drug overdose. Anna Nicole was obsessed with Marilyn Monroe and her death and always felt she would die as Marilyn did. Some people think there is more to her death than an over dose as it is hard to believe she would do that after having Danilynn...she adored her baby.

Anna Nicole died of "combined drug intoxication" after taking a concoction of the sleeping medication chloral hydrate and at least eight other prescription drugs, including methadone and Valium, used to treat depression, pain and anxiety.

She had about ten different drugs in her system, but the one that did her in was chloral hydrate. She took way more than the reccomended dose for pain. If she had gone to the hospital she could have had medicine administered to her by doctors instead of her self medicating which ultimately led to her demise.

They say she died of an Accidental Overdose. Honestly she was in deep depression since her Son Daniel had died. I pray she is at peace now and happy with Daniel.
