I'm curious are there laws in California that protect Shannon financially if something happens to Gene? I watch Gene Simmons Family Jewels and I don't doubt that Gene is very much in love with Shannon but without a marriage what will prevent Shannon from facing financial ruin if something goes wrong? Just Curious.

I'm sure that there is some kind of a law in California protecting people like Shannon Tweed.

Remember the Lee Marvin palimony case? I think that this case set a precedent for the financial support of long term "live-in" couples in California after a break-up of the relationship.

Because they are a celebrity couple, and it is well known that they are not married and have children together, chances are should anything happen and they break up, Shannon could file what is called a palimony suit.

I am sure she would be in his will. And even if all the money goes to their kids I am sure they will take care of her.
