NO! Absolutely not . . .
It just is in different forms now and not among the masses.
I live with my "Knight" that still opens my car door daily! and for all other women he is around. I'm told constantly how people love the respect/chivalry they see from him.
Chivalry/respect should be taught and there lies the problem!

I think chivalry is just good manners. It shouldn't be dead. I think people still have more manners round strangers in Ireland than in the UK, it's a little more a live and kicking here...just about.

It may be buried for some. but I still open doors for Ladies, the elderly and any one struggling with something. It's a little annoying that they have forgotten the word "Thanks"
But, hey what the heck? I will still do it, and that includes offering my seat on the bus or tube. No big deal. just a common courtesy.

Yes, it's dead for the most part, along with common courtesy

i open doors for women all the time,i even wait for them sometimes, but a little thank you would go along way to insure i do wait.maybe if you guys quit acting like your intitled to courtesy you would see it more.be a little appreciative.

Some of us still practice it, but it's a dying art form.

No, my fair maid. Not entirely. My coat is entirely at your disposable.
