The rich want to keep others out of their colleges, thus leaving their little narrow minded, ignorant, spoiled kids to go to school. If everyone had a chance to go to school, we would have had millenniums of advancement!

Man that is the TRUTH. A lot of Rich kids do not want to go to Universities, but they do because their parents want them to and they know that if they do not go, they will be left out of the will.

Peace.

What do you mean by advanced?

In terms of knowledge and understanding of the universe that surrounds us, we have advanced more in the last hundred years than in the preceding 40,000. The same can be said of technological and medical advances.

A few hundred years ago, the average life expectancy of a male in western society was probably in his mid forties. Nowadays, living to a hundred is common. A few hundred years ago, women were chattels who were not allowed to be educated or to have any rights as human beings before the law in most countries.

If you think college is hard to get into now, you should go back a couple of hundred years. Most people weren't even taught how to read and write, which was OK, because there were very few colleges to speak of.

In most of the western world, with very few exceptions, everyone does have a chance to go to school. What they do with their education is a different matter.
