when i have mine done at salon, they are red for a little bit. but put neosporin on the red areas, and try cold compress or ice pack. Redness should go down pretty quick.
you might need to adjsut the temperature of the wax next time around.
usually when I have my brows waxed at salon, it is in the evening and I don't put make-up back on until next morning.

waxing is never easy but the results r really good, ahhhh the things we do to look good! Makes us wonder if it's all worth it? yes it is lol .
Thing is when you wax use a cleanser prior to waxing then do your waxing, when you "RIP" that wax off it is going to turn red after all you are ripping the hair right out of the follicle not to mention you stuck the wax directly on the skin so it's gonna make ya red and yes it will go away, after you have done your waxing, use a wax cleanser to help remove any other wax that may not have been removed.
then use a soother cream on your eyebrow..yes they make all this so ask about it.you should be able to put your make up on as soon as you finish cleaning up. good luck

I get mine done professionally and I never had that problem. I don't think you should have ongoing discomfort. It should stop after a couple minutes. I wouldn't put make up on until the pain stopped and the redness went away.

your wax might have been to hot or your skin must have reacted to it, i have had ladies that have had their eyebrows waxed and they got burns because their skin was too sensitive or they had some kind of medical condtion like high blood pressure or diabeties, always remember those factors when you are going to wax and if you did it yourself maybe try going to a professional next time and see what they say

congrats on the good results. ^_^
You should put some moisturizer first if you have some and i don't think makeup will irritate it further if you use a light touch.
For the discomfort try some cold water.

You should probably try putting some ice on them... that might make the pain stop. If not maybe you should ask your doctor, you may have had an allergic reaction. Better safe than sorry!

Try aloe vera. It always helps me, and a little bottle will last forever,
