Ciara-she has done some R&B I think. Also Beyonce even though she's way overrexposed. And Ne-Yo and Robin Thicke. Also Janet Jackson, especially back in the day and Stephanie Mills back in the day. And Musiq Soulchild. Also Mary J. Blige-the best! And Jill Scott and Aaliyah-may she rest in peace!

I must be seing things...looks like someone a few posts ahead of me put Tom Jones and Neli Diamond as one of their fave R&B artists. HAH! Okay, naw, must have been seing things.

Me personally, I have to go back to the big band era of R&B - Earth Wind and Fire, Parliament/Funkadelic, The Isley Brothers, The Commodores, Heatwave, Sly and the Family Stone and you can throw Prince in there. These guys all had staying power for well over a decade or two - something that is rare today. That's when music was music. The R&B artists of today are good, but the watered down music that they sing over doesnt give them justice. I consider them as vocalists.

If I had to pick a favorite vocalist of today - R Kelly & Jaheim.
Best supporting vocalist - Nate Dogg
