Identity theft.

Unfair competition for jobs - since illegals are effectively exempt from labor laws - leading to depressed wages.

Strain on social services.

Increased Crime (google MS-13, just for instance).

Resurgence of communicable diseases like TB.

Terrorism.

Demographic blackmail - when illegal aliens are sufficiently numerous they can simply make demands. What are we going to do, kill 12 million people? Ignore them when they riot? (see the current Amnesty bill for an example).

Heightened racial tensions (resentment felt towards minority immigrants spilling over to Americans of similar ethnicities, immigrant-majority communities openly discriminating against Americans not of the same extraction).

Loss of territorial sovreignity (de-facto open borders, colonization).

You are going to get some wild answers to that! So, for what it's worth, here's mine:

1) the illegals themselves are not a threat--provided we make the policy changes needed to document and track them. Until that happens, although the majority of these do not represent any kind of threat, the existing situation remains dangerous:
2) As it stands , we have no way o f tracking or verifying the facts/background of these people. Some of themc ould very well be al-Qaida operatives posing as hispanic workers.
3) The situation facitlitates drug smuggling
4) As long as the illegal status is not addressed, there are hundreds of thousands of businesses who are using thisto exploit workers--and more important--defraud the government of payrool taxes, etc.
BTW--that's the real reason why the immigrants "aren't paying taxes." The fact is they are--and some who employ them do send the money in to the various governments like they are supposed to . But most are simply pocketing the money--and then blaming the immigrants for "not paying taxes."
Either way, the current situation is costing the public treasury a lot of money.

Also-some myths (alleged theats that aren't real):
1) The immigrants are hurting us because they don't speak English. MYth. Historically, most immigrants have arrived without knowing English. What has happened is simple--over time they learnEnglish and assimilate into our culture. Including the ancestors of the idiots making this claim.
2) Thousands of Americans are being murdered every year by illegals. False--there are somecriminals (that we could catch a lot easieer if the immigrants had legal status and so a reason to cooperate with law enforcement) but the numbers are low--no higher than we'd see in any group.
3) They are a burden to local/state governments. There's a grain of truth here--studies show that the taxes the illegals do pay only covers about 2/3 of those costs. But most of the money (noted above) is going into the pockets of employers--if the state/local governments had al the money they're supposed to be getting, the immigrants wouldn't be a net drain.
4) Its just a liberal plot to get more votes for the Dems. Stupid--and if the conservatives don't like it, they need to ask themselves how likely it is these people-whenand if they become citizens--are going to vote conservative if the cons continue to belittle them. In other words, if they decide not to vote for your guy--its your own d~mn fault.
5) Its a threat to white America. Doesn't really deserve an answer. Given a choice, we need to keep the illegals and deport the racists.

All the problems cited above are actually a consequence of abandoning your government to corporate control.
The reason Mexicans and central are coming in ever greater numbers is that NAFTA is destroying their economies. Yuo cannot have free trade when goods and capital travel freely but labor does not.
DO not allow the corporation to manipulate you. You are all immigrants and immigrants are your friends. The boss is the enemy, Never forget.
Blaming the little guy may get you off but it does not solve the problem. The gap between rich and poor is widening, not because of "illegals" but because your government is a hostage of the military-corporate alliance.
If you allow for the repression of the immigrant, how can you tell you won;t be next. Do not trust your government. It may say that it stands for you, and against immigrants. But YOU are ALL immigrants and eventually it will turn against you too.

Besides the threat of people enimicable to the well fare of this country entering illegally theres the overcrowding in our public schools, burdening the social welfare system, gang activity, and the list goes on. With the number of illegal aliens entering this country it could constitute an invading army. The first thing an illegal does when entering this country is commit a crime and that says alot about character. there are legal ways to enter this country and if someone can pay a coyote 1800 to 3000 dollars to get into this country illegally, then they can afford to enter this country legally. How many illegals pay taxes couldnt be too many because that takes a SSN card.

I will refer you to the website www.fairus.org, that way, some over sensitive liberal doesn't violate me for coming across as a racist.

This site has state by state analysis if you want to see the effects illegal immigration has on each state as well as the nation as a whole. The sources and articles on the site are documented so you can verify the information.

The cost of living will go through the roof.
The more of a demand for housing there is the more expensive it will be to rent or buy.
The more demand for food there is the more expensive it will be also.
Jobs will become more scarce and if you can find one you will be very very lucky.
Our Schools will close down due to over crowding and not enough funding from the Government.
Our Hospitals will have to close down too due to too many people not paying their bills.
Diseases will flourish and become widespread.
Crime will escalate to all new heights never seen before.
When the cost of living goes up beyond what people can afford and jobs become scarce crime always follows.People will do anything even rob old ladys to make a buck.
They will deplete us of all of our funds from Social Security,Welfare and maybe Police Officers and Firemen will see lay offs as the money that is needed to pay them won't be available.
They will vote themselves into office and eventually take over completly.
And you and I will have to move to another Country and become foreigners ourselves just to get away from them.
But where would we go?
Oh and english would take back seat to spanish and spanish would be the primary languange spoken in America.
The people who are trying to pass amnesty disguised as something else should all be rounded up and put in prison for treason and aiding and abbetting a Country that wants to invade us and take over.
Lets hope and pray a miracle happens and it doesn't go through.

Education
Health Care
Welfare
Prisoner care
will all cost much more
Also if illegals can get in so can terrorists, we cannot allow free entry into the USA for anyone without know who they are and why they are here.
Another way illegals hurt The USA is that they are not learning English which cost us more by having to make everything bi-lingual

Healthcare, education, not knowing who they are, higher crime rates, loss of jobs. These are but a few examples. Multi-lingual requirements for schools and govt. services. All of these things cost us all money. I am all for orderly and legal immigration. Let an American slip into mexico and see what would happen to them.

Overcrowding our schools and medical facilities.

Demanding that all public documents be printed in Spanish, which costs a lot of taxpayer money.

Extra police officers because of gang violence.
