At 6 months he should have most of his tail development so I would say it's just genetically inferior.... unless you want to breed short tailed guppies I guess ;)

The tank is only too small. :( Is that quite a woman guppy or would desire to a woman Gambusia (a.ok.a. dambusia) have been "by using risk" substituted? Guppies have symmetrical gravid spots. Gambusia gravid spots are extra advantageous choppy and the ladies human beings are drab. Take the female, guppy or no longer, out and placed her and a few tank water returned in her bag. return her to the save. Please shop a watch on it. :)

Probably just not a good one, unless the tail seemed ragged, in which case he most likely has fin rot.

I personally like the smaller roundtail guppies more than the deltas though.

they might of been fighting if it's been ragged or it might be a female it depends on if the the supposedly male guppy has a lot of colouring or not as if you don't have a lot of colouring it could be a female as they aren't as colouful as the males.

hope this helps

Are you sure your guppy is male? Females have shorter tails.

It might just be the breeding.
