It depends on your skill. While height plays a significant role in college basketball and in the pro's, I think in 7th grade, you can pretty much judge your position based on what you're good at or work on. If you're primarily a shooter, go for the 2 guard position (shooting guard) or the small forward. If you like to rebound, definitely aim at positioning yourself as the power forward or center. If you tend to move the mall and know the plays very well, by all means, situate yourself as the point guard. If you're all-around and still can't decide, by all means, use height as a determining factor. But at this age, I would hope your coach recognizes your individual skills/talent and uses that to help your team win, not just your height. If you're unsure still about your skills, keep practicing and discover it - then take it to the court where it will be definitely challenged. Good luck!

Well, I'll tell you this much. I hope you can handle the ball and be a playmaker cause you'll be playing the point guard position. You're too small to play any other position, even shooting guard is a stretch. But now, the way the game is played no matter how tall you are you're gonna have to get stronger. When you drive to the basket you gotta take hits from guys alot bigger than they are, so you'll have to be ready to land on your butt and get right back up and sink two fouls shots (1 if you're nasty) Most importantly, you have to be patient and smart. The point guard is the "quarterback" of the team, so his play can drastically affect the outcome of the game. You gotta read defenses and play according to what you see.

Left bench seems most suited for you :)

ahww your in middle school...you should be a point guard but if you are good at shooting then they will probally stick you with pg and a shooting guard. I'm sure there are boys that at your age are a bit taller than you but latter you might catch up with the guys and possibly become anything. Good luck and stay away from those pills.

you're too short for small forward. you elect yet another enhance spurt after which you will get that SF spot for now you're in between the factor look after and capturing look after possessions however the acceptable in advantageous condition for you is the PG reason your a physically powerful dribbler you're short and you should be an especially stable outdoors variety shooter to be a SG.

At this point, just try out for the team. If your coaches are worth anything, they will guide you to the proper position.

Point guard. Work on your three point and free throw shooting. Also practice stealing the ball when you are on defense.

It depends, at that level positions are based more on skills and abilities. Focus on defense, hustle and ball handling and your coach will find a spot for you.
