He may make the top 20 at his oposition all time, but he is not anything special compared to Pele, or even Ronaldo, when you look at their effect on the sport. Zidane and Ronaldo were in both in the prime of their careers in the 1998 World Cup. Zidane was the champion, but Ronaldo was the better player. And you wouldn't argue Ronaldo is the best player of all time, would you?

If time travel were possible, an all-time dream team would probably have him in the line-up, IMHO. However, I don't think there's ever been a better player than Pele. (Though there have been some great players since, such as Maradona, Platini, Zidane, Henry, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, and countless others.)
