Tell her true love doesn't last because now days no one is willing to work for it. Everyone wants the easy way out. We have fast food, microwaves to cut cooking down, computers to cut down the work, and more. Everything and everyone wants things done quick and easy.
When things get rough like a thunderstorm or hurricane, the first thing anyone wants to do is bail out. Thus no one gets married anymore because if they live together there isn't any chance of real commitment and responsibility. If it doesn't work out, they can leave................see, quick fix.
Love is very real and doesn't matter what stage it is in. It takes two to make something work whether it is a boss and employee or a car and gas, two things have to put into the situation equally or it wont work.

Love can last forever. Sometimes the one you love isn't the one you should be with forever though. Real love will last. Love that ended wasn't real. Theres so many complex things that interfere with love these days..media is partly to blame. No one should ever give up on true love though, it can be found at any age.

First and foremost, what his her time definition of "lasts". True, nothing in life "lasts" forever but lasts only as long as God said it would or predestined it to whether it being love or so called "true love", which is in the eye of the beholder as to its description. Life, itself, only lastsso long and is not guaranteed to anyone to last forever. Memories last so long. History books whether in fact true of false seem to last the longest. Unfortunately the world itself, is going to last so long and then nothing is going to matter much anymore after that, is it? But, love will last as long as it is meant to, but grows weaker with every passing day just like our own lifes do

I believe in true love, because love is not an emotion - it is a decision. If you love someone, you make a commitment to love them even when you don't like them.

I'd immediately respond by saying, "Are you saying you don't love me anymore?"
That's probably not what she meant, but it will make a point.
