No. I was sent home with that both times and I breastfed. You can always call your doctor's office and ask them if you are worried. Surely your doctor knew you were breastfeeding. They wouldn't have prescribed it if it wasn't safe.

OH MY GOSH DON'T TAKE IT! What the heck kind of doctor sends you home with hydracodone? That is vicodin! That medicine will certainly go through to the breast milk, and it could kill your baby. You're not even allowed to take it during pregnancy because it is known to cause birth defects! You need to contact your doctor immediately and double check with them...and what's more, you should call your pediatrician. Most women are sent home and told to take tylenol only if they are breast feeding. I'm not sure why they feel you are in more pain than most others that you would have been given hydracodone, but that makes no sense to me at all. CALL A DOCTOR!

I had a c-section and was taking that and what I noticed is that it made me extremely constipated. I talked to my OB about it and she said that it was certainly from the pain killers. They are not going to hurt the baby, but I would only take them when you need to and drink lots and lots of fluids.

Nope, its fine. I was prescribed that for all 3 of my kids. I also took it on occasion while I was pregnant for my severe headaches.

Lady, chill. Maybe she had a c-section. Tylenol doesn't do crap for 10+inch incisions.
