Ps) Any political party or member that has to say - I am a "compassionate" conservative (or whatever) - as opposed to a "cruel" conservative, you have to ask serious questions about.

Depends..... I would classify Rick Warren and Joel Olstein as compassionate conservatives.... but I doubt the right wing would agree they're even conservative

Depends on who it is. My family is full of compassionate conservatives, and they would agree that I am a compassionate liberal.

Depends on what you mean by compassionate. I donate to good causes all of the time because I WANT to, not because I'm forced into it.

If you want everyone to be 'equal', go to a country that welcomes your outlook in life.
