7x – y = 12 <-- Eq 1
-3y = 7x + 8<-- Eq2
-7x-3y = 8
y = -5
7x=12+y --> 7x = 7 --> x = 1
Answer is 1,-5
3x + y = 13 <-- Eq 1
x + y = 3 <-- Eq 2
Subtract Eq 2 from Eq 1 getting
2x=10
x = 5
5+y=3 --> y = -2 Answer is 5,-2
2x + y = 5 <-- Eq 1
x – y = 1 <-- Eq 2
Add Eq 1 to Eq 2 getting:
3x = 6 --> x = 2
2-y = 1 --> y= 1 Answer is 2,1
13x + 5y = 11 <-- Eq 1
13x + 11y = -7 <-- Eq 2
Subtract Eq 1 fro Eq 2 getting:
-6y = 18 --> y = -3
13x +5(-3) = 11
13x -15 = 11
13x = 26 --> x =2 Answer is 2,-3

I'm glad you went to so much trouble typing all of that in when you should be able to literally do all 4 problems in your head in less than 2 minutes. DO YOUR OWN HOMEWORK.

Use substitution and narrow your choices down. You've been given the answers already, it's just a matter of narrowing it down to the correct answer.
