Not usually.... I'm a very honest straight forward person. I can tell of someone is trying to be honest with me and give an opinion, that I can appreciate and even respect. I do however, take offense to those that say that just before saying something that is intentionally meant to be snotty or rude.

Just the fact they say 'no offense' throws your radar up and usually you end up taking offense, more because of the words 'no offense' than the actual statement!

Of course. I hate when someone says, "No offense" and then say something they know and I know is offensive.
They think by saying "no offense", that will clean it up and make the words less hurtful. It doesn't.

Definitely. for someone to say this, I know what's gonna come next is gonna be really bad. I'm a Black guy, and for some reason drunk White people like to come up to me and give me the "no offense, but..." routine.

I think that statement is stupid usually when people say that it is to critize me for something they don't like. Why wouldn't I take offense?

They usually say this when there is a question involved, and I usually brace myself for the question. But once they ask it - I usually am not offended - it's because I've already asked myself the same question or its because I've thought of a more negative one be it question or comment.

It depends on what they say afterwards, just because they say it, that doesnt mean, I dont have the right, to take offence to some things.
