Four had spoken out before and Coleman had been hesitant until Tuesday after they heard about the strong arm tactics used by Gone-zales to get approval for the warrantless wiretaps. Comey said he would not sign it so they went into the ICU where John Ashcroft was to get him to sign it. He refused to until they made changes. Then soon after that he was gone. Gonz- the "yes" man- ( yes to torture, yes to ignoring the Geneva conventions, yes to whatever illegal things they could come up by him just saying it is legal) was installed and they have gotten away with everything they possibly could because they knew he would do absolutely nothing to stop them.
He has made the Justice department a stinking joke and an utter shame.
To SJean, the Republicans are:
John Sununu- New Hampshire
Pat Robert - Kansas
Chuck Hagel- Nebraska
Tom Coburn-Oklahoma
Norm Coleman-Minnesota
John McCain- Arizona

Yep. Coleman is the latest, but he's a moderate at best. A lot of us in MN consider him a RINO(republican in name only). Was a Democrat until '96 when he was booed off a stage by the DFL because of his stance on taxes, abortion, and homosexuality. I'm actually split on the decision to get rid of Gonzales. I understand standing by him because this whole thing is a non-issue, then again he somehow let the non-issue explode into what it is.

That is because they are weak and only want the Libs to like them. They are cutting thier own throat because the Republican base will not stand for it much longer. THese are the same Senators that usually vote with the Democrats. Gonzales has done nothing wrong when Democrats don't like someone they invent things that are wrong, usually things that were done by Democrats but it is wrong when a republican does it.

So?
45 Republican Senators voted for Clinton's removal, and I doubt you agreed with them then...

Yes but apparently he doesn't care if 100 senators ask for his resignation.

five Senators have asked for new hookers and another round of drinks (one wanted a male page too) so I don't pay much attention to political cult statements.
