Because if you can't win an argument based on the logical strenghts of your points, the next best thing is to slander your opponent and shoot for a draw.

That is a good point, but why do they want to see the troops come home? Because the war is unpopular? Or because of the wars negative image portrayed through the media they can garner votes?

Though I think President Bush and staff have handled this very poorly, I will say this. I would rather have the terrorist concentrate their efforts blowing things up and attacking Americans in the middle-east rather than on our shores. Additionally, my neighbors son was home last week, he is serving his second tour of duty in Iraq and says the presses imaging of the war is very poor. They (the troops) have been in parades, done a marathon with Iraqi athletes, and even had a carnival where he is stationed. All with Iraqi citizens.

Now as far as Democrats assisting terrorist with their political gerrymandering, I would agree. They have used the troops and the timetable debates to muddy the water. But if the terrorist and insurgents of Iraq knew what we were going to do and when we were going to do it, that does help them form a strategy. Not knowing what we are doing hurts them and limits their options, which I am all for.

Yes I know we have lost 3000 troops in 5 years, but remember we lost almost that many in a few hours on 09/11/01. We have killed many more terrorist and upset their plans more doing this action than when we took none during Clintons Administration or the first 8 months of Bush's Administration.

Well, some of the terrorists in Iraq are fighting and terrorizing because they want certain things to happen: they want the coalition out of Iraq, they want to defeat rival ethnic factions, they want to impose thier own religion, they want to overthrow the fragile elected government.

Bringing the troops home immediately - which many democrats want to do - would accomplish some of those goals outright, and be a big help with others.

Thus the accusation. The truth is, Democrats aren't 'siding with the terrorists,' it's just that thier goals coincide in this instance.

I wouldn't say dems side with the terrorists. I would say they create them. Liberal policies that dems want to push on the Islamics (gay marriage, women's rights, abortion, elimination of public religious observance) are fueling the anger the Muslims have for the west. Now couple that with the fact that dems do not want to confront the mob they have created and you can see why some think the dems are aiding them. It is more to the point that by failing to address the problems they have caused in the traditional world they work for the death of western culture not the victory of the terrorists

Because there are no facts to successfully argue, the Republicans demonize the Democratic party in an effort to make themselves look good.

So Bush and his buddies can stay in power to continue getting rich off of all the stupid people that are listening to the Right's not stop nonsense!

Ya know, the type that run out and plaster "I'm proud to be an American" bumper sticker on their cars. HELLO Nitwit's, why would you have that sticker on your car as you are "driving" in America?? Wouldn't that make a louder voice if you were driving around in a "foreign" country??

If I see the sticker "I brushed my teeth today" on someones car-Does that mean "I didn't" if I don't display that sticker-what a joke. . .

I know. It amazed the Republicans that the King of Saudi Arabia and the entire Arab League ASKED Nancy Pelosi to come for a visit to work out a solution to the problem of forming a stable government in Iraq and making the withdrawal of U.S. forces out of there possible.

No, no, no. That's not all they want. They want
to blame America for the terrorist attacks that have
happened so far, and that fact does not help the
troops come home safe, but they are siding with the
enemy when they proudly say untrue things like that.
It's disgraceful and anti-American when you side with
the enemy.

Democrats are accused of siding with terrorists because they aid and abide the terrorists against our troops.

Democrats don't care about our troops, they just want to use them in order to gain power. Democrats are Lumpen bourgeoisie, and they want it back.

Because Democrats are misinterpreted sometimes. Just because some Democrats said that it's evident that Iraq isn't our problem, they were accused of siding with "enemy"
