The Luxor is an awesome hotel. It's #3 on my list of must see hotels in LV behind only Caesars Palace and the Venetian.
If you're going Sunday/Thursday try to upgrade to a Pyramid Spa Suite using the $20 trick.
There are hundreds of activities and attractions in LV, many of them are free. Check out these sites

Luxor is a great place to stay.
Blue Man Group is a great show to see! So are Mystere, O, and Celine Dion if you can catch her.
As far as buffets: Rio & the Orleans are the best in my opinion. Silverton buffet is good as well but it's not on the Las Vegas strip.
Avoid eating at Imperial Palace if you can.

Go with an open mind. You may move here like I did.
Luxor has a great breakfast buffet.
Also take a walk across the connextor to the Mandalay Bay for the dinner buffet you will love it.
Go to Hoover Dam this is the greatest engineering development in the world. and the squirrles will eat candy out of your hands so tame.
What show, what do you like They have it all here.
You shuld have so much fun.....
Enjoy this visit.

You should watch some Cique du Soleil shows such as Zumainty which is meant for couples because it shows nudity. My bf and personally loved Mystere, it was a great show. Do not watch La Femme, partial nudity, but we thought it was boring.
If you are not a budget, I suggest you head on over to the Bellagio buffet during the weekend because they serve gourmet food fit for royalty. You'll have t o spend about $75 for both of you, but I think it's worth it. Now if you're on a budget, Downtown vegas has great deals on food. Most of the time if you're up around "graveyard", which is midnight to oh 5 or 6 in the morning, a lot of places have specials like steak, eggs, potatotes for $3.99.
The "strip" shows are free such as the Bellagio fountain show, the Mirage volcano show, and the TI pirate show.
also check out this website that I just found www.cheapovegas.com

Mama Mia is a good show at the Mandalay Bay. Blue Man group I've heard is a good show. We seen Celine at Cesar's which was pretty good but I don't know if the show is dark for other performers like Elton John. Stay away from the buffet at the Sahara. One of the cheapest buffets is at Circus Circus but it is just ordinary. The Rio has a great buffet with a lot of different food stations to choose from.

My wife and I are also going in June, After doing extensive research we planned our trip as follows:
Jet Blue and Southwest are the best and least expensive Airlines ( book thru their websites)
Hotels: Well, this one was a lil sticky cus it was a question of how much did we really want to spend, and we concluded that this is a vacation we like to enjoy to the fullest so we checked out the best hotels Vegas had to offer and the winner was Bellagio due to different factors like it's center strip location, restaurants, and more importantly the poker room since I will be playing a lot of poker ( we used their website for reservation).
Buffets: We will definitely try the weekend gourmet dinner at Bellagio, the seafood buffet at the Rio, breakfast at Paris, the Brazilian grill at Mirage, dinner at the top of Eiffel Tower( as you can see we love to eat!)
Shows: We already booked tickets to cirque du soleil "o" at Bellagio, Danny Gans at Mirage, we also wanted to go to Celine Dion's at Caesars but she is not performing that week Bummer!
Other activities: We booked a massage for couple at the spa, we're gonna take a drive to Hoover Dam and The Grand Canyon, walking on the strip to see as many casinos as we can and (people), watching the volcano at Mirage and the Tigers, watching the dancing water show at Bellagio( from our room) visiting all major poker rooms ( Mirage, Caesars, Venetian, Wynn) plus anything we may stumble upon!

I went when I was 18 but still saw all of the sights and get feedback from the adults we went with about the gambling. The luxor hotel is the best that I ever went in. It very luxurious, has a good view and has a very nice pool area. Met a lot of friendly people there. Oh yeah and it has a club inside which is massive. Apart from that, Las Vegas is basically a big party and unless you go too far off the strip, it's all good.
